Minho Fly Fishing specialize in guided fly fishing trips in Portugal. We are based in the Minho region and we guide on public and club waters in rivers, tailwaters, streams, creeks and lakes all over the country. We also provide fly fishing instruction.

Half day trips
are 4 hours on the water.These trips are normally done were we are based but other arrangements can be agreed.
Full day trips are, at least, 8 hours on the water.
Important! We operate only with No-Kill fishing.

Minho Region
Minho Fly Fishing is based in the county of Monção, in the Alto-Minho Region the northernmost province of Portugal.
The river Minho makes the border with Spain and in this international stretch for 45 km the river is a tailwater with clear water where sea trout and atlantic salmon are present.

This region is considerer the garden of Portugal, mainly because of its green landscape, vineyards, flowering fields and old forests.
Very close to us we have a huge variety of beaches of a unique beauty with white sand and therapeutic qualities attributed to the great amount of iodine.
Some of these beaches are very safe and with a nice water temperature they are ideal for children.

Antonio Rodrigues
Antonio started fishing at the age of five and fly fishing at the age of fourteen. Now at the age of 45 he has years of experience fishing around the world, guiding and coaching fly fishing techniques from beginner to advanced anglers, as well.
Antonio is a highly decorated competitive fly fisherman with 5 national champion titles, among others. He has been a member of the Portuguese national fly fishing team since 2003 and it has participated in twelve World and three European Fly Fishing Championships.
A day on the water with Antonio would consist of a relaxing and pleasant learning experience in all aspects of fly fishing... Relax and enjoying the beautiful rivers, the wild fish and the breathtaking landscapes of this country.
